The Turning Point

For Bernadette, the world of AI initially felt like a "blind alley". She held a "blinkered" view that technology was reserved for the tech-savvy youth or those with coding expertise. "I knew so little about it," she admits, "I had put it on a level with coding—something I would never use". However, a chance encounter with Sophia at an International Café sparked a moment of curiosity that would change her way of thinking forever. 

Empowerment through Learning 

Bernadette joined the course at the Ermine Library, finding a warm welcome and a diverse group of fellow learners. Supported by Sophia and expert tutor Toby, she quickly realised the immense potential of AI as a source of information rather than just expression. The clarity of the instruction was so impactful that she was able to apply her new-found skills the very same day.
